Till Bechtolsheimer is a Co-Founder, CEO and Portfolio Manager. From 2007 until founding Arosa, he was a Portfolio Manager/Director at UBS O’Connor LLC covering the energy sector, at first for the O’Connor Fundamental Long/Short Directional Fund and after early 2010 for the O’Connor Fundamental Long/Short Market Neutral Fund. Prior to joining UBS O’Connor, he was an Associate Director in the Private Equity and Hedge Fund teams at UBS Wealth Management in Zurich from 2005 to 2007. He graduated with honors from The University of Dublin, Trinity College in 2005 with a B.A in Economics with Philosophy.
Abraham Joseph is a Co-Founder and Portfolio Manager. From 2008 until founding Arosa, Mr. Joseph was a Portfolio Manager/Director covering the energy sector for the O’Connor Fundamental Long/Short Market Neutral Fund at UBS O'Connor. From 2004 to 2008, he was an energy sector Analyst/Vice President at Delaware Street Capital. From 2002 to 2004 Mr. Joseph was an Analyst in the Investment Banking Group at Merrill Lynch & Co. He graduated with honors in 2002 from the University of Chicago with a B.A. in Economics.
Anish Patel is a Managing Director and the Senior Analyst for Arosa covering Exploration & Production, Refining and Automobiles & Components. Prior to joining Arosa, Anish was a Managing Director at PointState Capital LP where he focused on Oil & Gas investments. Before PointState, Anish was a Partner and Managing Director/Co-Head of ISI Group’s Exploration & Production Equity Research team, which ranked #1 in the 2012 Institutional Investor All-America Research Team survey. Prior to ISI, Anish was a Vice President at Credit Suisse covering the Mid-Cap Exploration & Production sector and was a core contributing analyst for global natural gas markets. He was the recipient of the 2010 Institutional Investor All-America award for the Best Up & Comer in the Oil & Gas Exploration & Production sector. Anish has also held positions at Wachovia Securities and Cambridge Associates prior to Credit Suisse. Anish graduated from Tufts University in 2001 with a B.A. in Economics and is a CFA charterholder.
Peter Chidyllo is a Managing Director and Senior Analyst for Arosa covering Oilfield Services and Alternatives. Prior to joining Arosa, he served as a Partner at Encompass/PioneerPath Capital from July 2008 to February 2014, overseeing both domestic and international Oil Service investments. He was the Senior Oilfield Services Analyst for the energy group at Talek Investments from March 2006 to July 2008, with primary coverage of the long/short Oil Services' equity portfolio. He began his career in June 2004 as an Analyst in the Restructuring Group at Houlihan Lokey, engaged on a number of bankruptcies, liquidations, and solvency cases. He graduated with distinction from the University of Virginia in May 2004 with a B.S. in Commerce.
Jason Modine is a Director and Senior Analyst for Arosa covering Credit. Prior to joining Arosa, he served as Global Convertible Arbitrage/HY Bond Portfolio Manager at UBS O’Connor from August 2007 to January 2016, focusing on the global energy sector and special structures. From October 2001 to August 2007 Jason was Global Head of Data Management at UBS for the Alternative and Quantitative Investments (A&Q) platform. He started his career in February 2000 at Charles Schwab & Co., Inc. as an Investment Specialist. Jason graduated from Purdue University in December 1999 with a B.S. in Civil Engineering.
Joshua Cheung is an Analyst for Arosa. Prior to joining Arosa, he served as an Investment Analyst at 1798 Global Partners from July 2015 to February 2019 covering NAM-based Exploration & Production investments. He began his career at Raymond James covering Oilfield Services from September 2013 to July 2015. Joshua graduated from New York University with a B.S. in Finance and Accounting.
Ryan Flynne is an Analyst for Arosa. Prior to joining Arosa, he was an Analyst at Stewart Asset Management covering Technology and Consumer investments. Ryan began his career at Stewart in May 2016. Ryan graduated from Lafayette College with a B.A. in Mathematics and Economics and is a CFA Level III candidate.
Jeff Baisley is the Chief Operating Officer of Arosa. Prior to joining Arosa, he served as the Chief Financial Officer and was a Principal of Graham Capital Management L.P. (“Graham”) where he was responsible for the management and oversight of the middle office, treasury operation, financial reporting and corporate accounting departments of Graham. He joined Graham in 2004 as the Manager of Financial Reporting before becoming Chief Financial Officer in 2008. He was Vice President of Financial Reporting for Global Equity Derivatives at RBC Dominion Securities from June 2001 until March 2004. From August 2000 until January 2001 he was Director of the Perseus Debt Opportunity Fund focusing on investments in distressed situations. From March 1996 to June 2000 he held positions of increasing responsibility at UBS Warburg AG, including Business Manager/Analyst in the Distressed Debt trading group. From June 1993 to February 1996 he was an Assistant Vice President in the Firm Trading Accounting Department of Lehman Brothers Inc. He began his career as a staff auditor at Ernst & Young LLP in September 1991. He received a B.S. in Accounting from Fordham University in 1991.
Daniel Radden is the General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer of Arosa where he is responsible for managing the firm’s legal and compliance matters. Prior to joining Arosa, Daniel served as General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer of White Elm Capital, LLC from 2013 to 2019 and Armistice Capital, LLC from 2019 to 2020. Previously, Daniel served as Vice President, Associate Counsel at the Permal Group from 2011 to 2013. From 2008 to 2011, Daniel was an Associate in the Financial Services Group at Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP where he advised institutional and emerging asset managers, family offices and financial institutions with a focus on fund structuring, regulatory, compliance and operational matters. Daniel began his career as an Analyst at JPMorgan Chase. He received a B.S. from Cornell University in 2003 and a J.D. from Fordham University School of Law in 2008. Daniel is admitted to practice in the State of New York.
David Zapata is the Head Trader for Arosa. Prior to joining Arosa, David was Global Head of Trading at Artio Global Investors (acquired by Aberdeen Asset Management in May of 2013). David began his career at Julius Baer Investment Management as a Portfolio Analyst for the International Equity team from September 2000 to November 2006, before transitioning as a Trader for the Global Equities desk. David graduated from Lehigh University in May of 2000 where he received a B.S. in Finance with a concentration in Economics and International Relations.
Giselle White is the Director of Business Development. Prior to Arosa, Giselle was a Director of Business Development at New Mountain Capital from 2019 to 2021. From 2016 to 2019, Giselle was Vice President, Sales & Client Relations at DGHM, a boutique asset management firm with long-only and long/short strategies. From 2014 to 2016, she was Director of Marketing and Investor Relations at Harvey Partners, a long/short equity fund. Giselle spent the early part of her career at JP Morgan Private Bank and Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management. She received her B.A. from The University of Miami in 1991 and her M.B.A. from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business in 2000.
